Finished Reading
Hooray!! Last night, I finished The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. I got really into it towards the end. I must admit, I was not expecting the twist regarding Martin and his father. Talk about disturbed people. I kind of did expect that Harriet would be alive. It just didn't sit right with me that she was dead. It really is too bad that she couldn't have exposed her brother in some way at a much earlier time. Think about all the lives that would have been saved. I know, I know, this is fiction..but one of the signs of a good book is that you start thinking of what could have happened only if.... Of course, I now need to move on to book 2. I will keep you posted.

What I am currently reading
Right now, I am reading 2 books. At home, I am reading Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. At work, during SSR, I am reading The Curse of the Wendigo. I am enjoying both, although I must say that it took me a while to get in to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I had heard so many good things about it that I persisted, and, I'M HOOKED. I need to know what is going to happen. Who killed Harriet or did she even die? Don't you dare tell me.
The Curse of the Wendigo is the sequel to The Monstrumologist. Normally, I would not have picked up a book such as The Monstrumologist, but I loved Rick Yancey's "Alfred Kropp" books, so I gave it a try. It was good and gruesome. I just started The Curse of the Wendigo and haven't met the new "monster" yet. I'll let you know as I get more into it.

My all-time favorite book of fiction
Let's start the discussion by talking about my all-time favorite book. Now it is not necessarily a young adult book, but I know of quite a few young adults that like it as well. My all-time favorite book of fiction is Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. I admit that I have read this book 5 times and just might have to read it again soon. I just love the story line and the history that is within its pages. I really felt like I could see the villages and the churches being built. I could really feel the hardships that many people in this time must have gone through. It is a history lesson and a love story all wrapped into a beautiful, but quite long, package.
